Just like the Food Packaging Bottle for daily food packaging, spray bottles are very common in our daily lives. The small challenge of cleaning the spray bottle will not burden you. Reusing the spray bottle not only saves a few bottles, but also provides a satisfying feeling. It provides you (and the planet!) with some thought-provoking benefits

reduce waste
According to the Guardian, humans are producing plastic bottles at a rate of 20,000 per second. This is unimaginable, 1.2 million bottles per minute, 72,000,000 bottles per hour, and 1,728,000,000 bottles per day! The planet is actually suffocating on plastic bottles.

You might think that choosing not to recycle a few bottles will have no effect on the billions of dollars we throw away. Okay, guess what? There are 7 billion other people who may be thinking about exactly the same thing. Change must start with ourselves, through the small useful things we choose to do.

Save some money
Needless to say, being able to reuse the bottle means saving a lot of money. Having multiple reusable spray bottles allows you to purchase only the items you need, which is indeed a bargain.

Compared with other liquid products, the bottled price ratio of products with spray bottles is very close. In other words, the contribution of spray bottles to the total product price is quite high. This is mainly due to the relatively high production cost of the dispenser. It is understood that this special function of the spray bottle is composed of many parts, which need to be assembled and tested.

Therefore, it is undoubtedly a clever trick to avoid buying new spray bottles. You just need to know how to clean and reuse them.

Help stay organized
After spending so much energy on tidying up the house, don’t you just want things to stay organized? We got it. It's not that we focus too much on the way we organize everything. It's just that it is difficult to constantly adapt and adapt to the changing settings in the house. You can rest assured when you know where things should be when you need them. One of these little details has had a big impact on our day.

Having a container dedicated to the items you use can definitely help you in this regard. If you can reuse the spray bottle, you can ensure that its content is always what you need when you need it.

Finishing effect
After thorough cleaning and tidying up, are you looking at the kitchen, makeup area or desk and feel that it is still messy? We may have an answer: product labels.

The packaging label provides useful information about the goods we buy. However, when different kinds of labels are placed side by side, they can cause a mess.

Therefore, a clean reusable bottle will help you a lot. Using a regular bottle instead of the original product container may result in a surprisingly neat and more uniform appearance.

Risk of poor cleaning before reusing the 100ml Plastic Spray Bottle

A dirty spray bottle can cause many problems. On the one hand, they pose a risk to our health. Moreover, they can easily waste a bottle of household products.
Here are some good reasons why good thorough cleaning is important to reuse spray bottles:

New content that damages the chemical composition
One obvious risk of reusing unclean spray bottles is that they may damage the chemical composition of the new content. Spray bottles are often used for high-concentration household substances. Such chemicals can definitely negatively affect the performance of other liquids. They may accelerate the expiration of new content or reduce its useful quality.

Putrefaction
The spray bottle is composed of many small parts, and its shape is very unusual compared to other types of bottles. This special feature makes spray bottles particularly difficult to clean. Hard-to-reach surfaces and crevices are areas where harmful substances may remain even after cleaning. When these substances are left behind, they will eventually rot and contaminate the entire container.

Blockage
Unwashed contaminants and residues are indeed harmful to the new contents of the bottle. Furthermore, they can cause problems in the dispensing mechanism of the spray bottle. Unwanted substances may mineralize and cause system blockage.

An effective way to clean spray bottles
Now, here is our recommended way to clean the spray bottle and make sure it can be reused. You can do all these operations at home with very simple household tools.

Check your bottle
Of course, you must evaluate your spray bottle first. Please always consider what you have previously used. Some content may be harmful to your skin, so please handle it with extreme care. Try to see if there is a problem with the mechanism, or if parts such as dust caps are missing. You should also scan the container to see if there are cracks or dents. Remove the cover and inspect the inside of the body. If there is a problem with the spray bottle, it may not be worth washing and reuse.

Rinse/pre-wash
Rinse your baby bottle clean. If possible, use a hose or faucet with a higher pressure. This will wash away most of the material on the surface and make it easier to perform deeper cleaning in the future.

It also allows you to dispose of the bottle more safely when you move and disassemble the bottle later.

3. Rinse
Now, this is an important step you must perform. This is called flushing. For this part, we recommend that you use a pair of gloves.

Take a cup and fill it with hot water. Place the cup in the kitchen sink. Take off the dispenser (without bottle) very carefully and immerse the bottom of the dip tube in the water. Make sure that the insert faces the sink and away from your body. Then, pump the spray pump several times to thoroughly flush the entire distribution system with water.

4. Remove the label (if any)

When washing the spray parts, it is also necessary to remove the label of the bottle.

First rinse the bottle with warm water. Then, put on gloves and immerse the bottle in a deeper basin with hot water. Let it sit for about 10 minutes, and then pull it out with pliers.

Hold the bottle with a towel and peel it off while it is still hot.

If the label does not come off completely, soak the bottle in water with baking soda. After about half an hour, try to peel off the label.

5. Disassembly

Disassembling and reassembling the spray bottle can be the trickiest part of cleaning the spray bottle. We recommend that you perform this step only if you are confident to do so. It may damage the parts of the spray bottle and even injure one or two fingers.

By now, you should have separated the bottle from the dispenser. The disassembly mainly only involves the dispenser, so you can put the bottle aside.

First, dry the dispenser with a clean carpet for a better grip, then hold it in your hand. Make sure you learn it as much as possible. Try to take out its parts one by one. The dip tube actuator will be the best place to start.

Do not try to separate all parts. Some parts (such as gaskets and pump mechanism) were unintentionally disassembled.

Remember that you will put everything back in place later, so you must pay attention to the location of each part.

At least, there should be five different parts after disassembly:

Dust cap
Actuator with insert
Seal and pump mechanism with gasket
Dip tube
And body/bottle
Wholesale glass bottles

6. Soap and water

After separating the parts of the spray bottle, place it in a basin and wash it with warm water and dish soap. Use cotton swabs to wipe hard-to-reach parts, such as the threads of bottles and caps, and the inside of the actuator.

Rinse all parts thoroughly with water. It is important not to leave any soap on it.

7. Disinfection

At this point, your bottle may look clean, tidy and shiny. However, they need to be kept clean at the microscopic level. Soap and water alone cannot kill 100% of the surface of the bottle part

Please clean them first, and then use them and fill a bottle with contents. This can be tricky, but knowing how to clean them is the key to being able to reuse them.
