"The witness security facet of your characters is sort of EVE Echoes ISK dependent on your profile until you join the company. So in my situation, my main would have experienced a witness protection, get a new name, wipe corp history, fresh portrait - those sorts of things. And to me, as my individuality and my expertise in EVE was so tied up in that personality, I had been contemplating maybe not even taking him off ice because I did not want to have to change his title, his portrait. So being able to still be that character now when I am playing EVE is amazingly fantastic, and was much more important to me than I'd anticipated until just before I came to CCP and recognized the implications of what could happen to that personality."

Jessica cites that even in her short time working with CCP she has noticed the change in policy has really helped the group - and EVE Online as a whole.

"From what I could see, in my brief time here, it's really helping a number of individuals of the provider already. From what I can tell, there are a great deal of people inside CCP who've played EVE for a very long time. But there's no way for the community to see that since it was so secretive. And I believe now that that's changed, it has opened up a whole group of fresh playstyles. It is allowing a number of developers to get a better idea of what is happening inside the major EVE communities they weren't able to receive before. And that I think, even only over these last couple of Buy EVE Echoes Items months, that has actually made a really positive impact on development of the game."
