5 ways to eliminate the odor of refrigerators in China Refrigerator Suppliers

When you open the refrigerator, do you smell an unpleasant smell? An unpleasant smell is the worst, especially when you are preparing to eat. Here are some tips from our electrical experts on how to keep your refrigerator fresh.

Protect your container
The best way to eliminate odors is to prevent them from spreading first. If your food is not placed correctly, it may release an odor and spread over the entire surface of the refrigerator. Make sure your food is properly secured in Tupperware, airtight plastic bags or plastic wrap. Bottles and jars should be closed tightly, and any leaks should be cleaned up as soon as possible.

Throw away old food
After ensuring food safety, you need to remember to throw away bad food. Mark the leftovers with their production date. Thoroughly check your leftovers, dairy products, meat and vegetables. These tend to deteriorate first and produce an unpleasant smell. Don't forget to check your condiments and other rarely used items.

Handling food
clean
If the odor persists after throwing away the bad food, it may be that odor particles are scattered inside the refrigerator. This means it's time for a thorough cleaning.

Remove all contents and store in a suitably cold container (ie another refrigerator or cooler).
Soak your shelves and drawers in a kitchen sink filled with water and a glass of baking soda.
Use baking soda and water to wipe the surface of the refrigerator, including the door seal. Don't forget to clean the drip tray located at the bottom of the outside of the refrigerator.
Odor absorber
There are several common household items that are great for absorbing odors. These include baking soda, vinegar, oats, fresh dried coffee grounds, activated charcoal and unflavored chlorophyll cat litter. Just putting a bowl of oatmeal or a cup of vinegar in an empty refrigerator for a few hours can have a huge impact. Get into the habit of putting an opened box of baking soda in the refrigerator and replace it every three months or so (depending on the smell of the refrigerator).

Mask the smell
If you can downgrade the odor from a primary odor to a secondary odor, you may be able to mask the remaining unpleasant odors. Vanilla extract, lemon juice and peppermint oil are three very pleasant scents, which are natural and effective in masking odors. They are all effective cleaners, so you can use them to wipe the surface or soak cotton balls, and then put them in the refrigerator as an air freshener.
