Google Ads
Vast Audience
The amount of people using Google is growing daily. It’s the number one search engine for a reason. If someone is searching for something, they’re told to “Google it”. They’ve literally turned their brand into a verb. As smartphone usage increases, it almost guarantees that you will be able to reach more people.
Buyer Intent
If your ads are popping up for people, it typically means they’re searching for your product or service. This fact alone will lead to more conversions than Facebook.
More Expensive
Although Google Ads are expensive, It can be difficult to get results if you’re on a budget and in a competitive area. It is still possible to set your own budget; however, you may not have the exposure you want.
Google Ads
Specific Targeting
Facebook lets you define your target audience and creates a concentrated group of people who are more likely to want your service. Things like demographics, area, age, etc. are all customizable.
Analytics
Facebook also goes very in-depth when it comes to tracking your ad campaigns. It’s easy to see your conversion rate and other important metrics. Page likes, best performing posts, weekly reach, etc. is all laid out nicely in front of you.
Brand Awareness
People who use Facebook are most likely on Facebook all the time. I’ve never met anyone who’s scrolled through their feed once and then deleted the app. That being said, even people who don’t click on your ad will still start to recognize when it pops up. They will subconsciously associate you with whatever service you provide.
No Buyer Intent
One downfall to using Facebook ads is the fact that you’re advertising to people who aren’t actively looking to buy. One strategy to bring people in is to have an offer. By offering a free consultation or a discounted service, it’s easier to convert scrollers into customers.
