Wordle is a word-puzzle game created by Josh Wardle. This is how it works:

Each day there is a five-letter word that you can guess. Every day, the word changes at midnight.

There are six ways to find the word.

The game highlights the letters that were correct but not in the right spot (in yellow) or which letters were right and in a good place (in green). You can also use the color-blind mode to change the color assignment to orange and blue.

If you can guess the word, the win screen has (at least in some browsers; it does not show up on my iPad) the Share button. This gives you an emoji representation that tells you how you did.

Wordle game is simple and fun. The fact that you can only do one puzzle per day is also a big part of its charm. It's not an addictive habit. It feels like a bit of mental gymnastics to get you started in the morning.
