Add Windows permissions to the QuickBooks installation folder

•        Start by closing your QuickBooks. 

•        To C:\Program files\

•        For 64-bit users, C is recommended:Program Files (x86)

•        Now you need to go to the Security tab and select advanced options

•        Remember to make sure the folder owner is the user group. If not, you will need to take ownership of the Intuit folder by completing a few steps:

•        Select Edit next to the owner name in the advanced security settings window.

•        Enter a user in the field, enter a topic name to select Search, and select a verification name.

•        Then click on the OK tab.

•        You must then mark the change of owner on the sub-containers and objects.

•        Click the Apply and OK tab accordingly.

•        Select the user from the permissions window and also click on the full control option

•        Click the Apply tab and the OK tab.
