My name is John. I manage a small group of engineers at my company that do nothing but support our two top system integrators in dubai  applications: Veritas Backup Exec and Barracuda's Network Appliance appliances.

Barracuda has been a partner since the beginning, a month before VERITAS was even created as a division inside Symantec. We used to not care too much about what they were up to because we never thought they would pose any competition or threat for us, but then we heard rumors that they were going into the "unified" market after their purchase of BakBone Software, and we had some sleepless nights worrying about them stealing away our bread & butter customers.

Well all of those concerns disappeared when we starte realize what they were after. They wanted the small businesses! Ones without high-maintenance, on-site IT staffs or expensive SAN/NAS storage arrays…

You see, the VERITAS Sales team is very good at selling their brand name to CIO's and IT managers that are more interested in buying products with a cool sounding acronym for name than ones that actually do the job well . For this reason, VERITAS usually targets larger companies. There are fewer of them, but they have higher budgets & greater resources available to deploy complex infrastructures… so there's less risk of failure. On average these larger companies also have more employees working on their synology partner in dubai  processes too.
